TRIOPTICS Expands its US Business

TRIOPTICS GmbH, a leading manufacturer of optical test equipment, based in Wedel, Germany strengthens its market presence in the USA. To provide and increase its extensive customer service and establish a strong basis for future growth, TRIOPTICS has founded a subsidiary in the USA - TRIOPTICS Inc. - and has acquired Davidson Optronics Inc. a renowned manufacturer of high precision optical test equipment.

TRIOPTICS Inc. will sell TRIOPTICS’ products and will provide application support and service in the USA. The company is located at Davidson Optronics’ headquarter in West Covina, California. Mildex Inc., TRIOPTICS’ previous distributor, will continue selling these products in the North Eastern part of the USA.

Davidson Optronics Inc. continues operating as a stand-alone company but will cooperate closely with TRIOPTICS. A joint development for high precision electronic autocollimators has already begun. Furthermore, Davidson Optronics products will now be distributed by TRIOPTICS subsidiaries and partners in Europe and Asia. “Davidson Optronics has a broad experience in the photonics market and their products supplement the TRIOPTICS product portfolio,” says Eugen Dumitrescu, CEO of TRIOPTICS.

TRIOPTICS has appointed Ron Hartmayer as the CEO of Davidson Optronics, Inc. and TRIOPTICS Inc., and he will ensure close cooperation between these companies as well as the seamless and transparent transition for the company’s customers. Before joining TRIOPTICS, Mr. Hartmayer has spent several years in leading positions in the photonics industry.
